Betty Calhoun is the friendly face waiting to greet and help customers most days at the Market. Her experience in retail, and reputation among the locals, brings a steady stream of loyal lookers and buyers each day. Our vendors respect her honest opinions about pricing, and I appreciate her excellent organizational skills!

Lyn Mathis is one of the most honest, truly living people I have ever met, and her energy and enthusiasm make Wednesdays at the Market especially fun. She helps Judena with our complimentary English Tea, tidies up the place, and almost always has the best sales day of the week. Her friends come in to chat and we all share stories of our lives and catch up on local issues.

Melanie Estes came into my life 4 years ago when her husband moved to McCaysville. She followed shortly after, and won me over with her creative cooking and delectable desserts. She has won the hearts of every local in town, and is best known for her side kick, a 189 lb. Saint-Dane named "Bee". Melanie has many talents, but she thrives in the Market Café where she can be found when the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway is in town.

Ellen is the Market mascot and is the center of attention when she knows she's on stage. The yard is her playground, and we all make sure she is safe and well fed.

Bob and Nancy Wilson have been instrumental in the success of the Market from day one. When I get impatient about this or that, they calm me down, and when we finally accomplish a long-awaited goal, they are there to lend a hand or two, or four. Bob runs the Market on Tuesdays and has his loyal regulars who come in for coffee and to catch up on local events. He and Nancy have a well-equipped shop, and from time to time will bring in one of their latest creations to sell. If things need fixin', Bob is ready for the task. Nancy cooks for the Market Cafe, and is our source of inspiration when we feel challenged. They are my adopted parents, and I appreciate all they do for me and for the Market.
